Massive Protest by Hindu Rashtra Samanvay Samiti at Freedom Park
The Hindu Rashtra Samanvay Samiti organised a massive protest at Freedom Park, drawing hundreds of Hindu activists and representatives from various pro-Hindu organisations. The protest was held to strongly condemn the brutal attack on Om Shakti mala-dharis and Ayyappa devotees in the Chamarajapete area of Bengaluru. The demonstrators raised slogans demanding justice for the victims and called for decisive action against those responsible for repeated attacks on Hindu devotees.
A key demand of the protest was the immediate identification and deportation of illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators from Karnataka. Protesters alleged that unchecked infiltration has contributed to rising insecurity and targeted violence against Hindus. Leaders asserted that the state government’s failure to act firmly has emboldened anti-social elements and endangered communal harmony in the region.
Participation of Prominent Hindu Leaders
Several prominent Hindu leaders addressed the gathering, including Pramod Muthalik, National President of Sri Ram Sena; N. Jayaram, President of Ayyappa Seva Samajam; Shakti Shri Rakshit Jai Girish, Joint Secretary (State) of Melmaruvathur Om Shakti Mandali; Sunil Shetty; Bhavya Gowda of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti; Saptagiri Gowda; Sundresh Nargal; Manjunath; Amrutesh N. P.; and Hindu leaders M. L. Shivakumar and Tejas Gowda. Over 500 Hindu activists actively participated in the protest, reflecting widespread anger and concern.
Condemnation of Attacks on Women Devotees
Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted a disturbing incident from the first week of January, where women devotees wearing Om Shakti malas were allegedly attacked through stone-pelting in Chamarajapete. Leaders stressed that targeting women devotees is an attack on faith itself and a serious threat to religious freedom. They warned that such acts are becoming increasingly frequent and systematic.
Repeated Attacks in Chamarajapete Raise Serious Questions
According to the speakers, Chamarajapete Assembly constituency has witnessed repeated attacks on Hindus, devotees, and symbols of faith. Despite this, they alleged that the administration has remained completely silent. Protesters questioned whether this silence reflects incompetence, negligence, or a deliberate policy to ignore atrocities against Hindus.
